Benefits of Denture Implant-based Prostheses (Part 3)

The maximum occlusive (chewable) force in a denture that uses a denture (moving prosthesis) is between 5 and 50 Ib. Patients who use permanent prosthesis to rely on dental implants can increase their maximum chewing power up to 85% within two months after treatment.

After 3 years, the average force can increase by more than 300% compared to pre-treatment levels. The chewing quality with a denture-based prosthesis is heavily improved compared to denture-based soft tissue prostheses.
Normal denture reduces the quality of chewing by about 30%. In these patients, the chewing quality is 60% less than normal teeth.

A firm fixing bolt based on dental implants can have a similar function to the natural teeth. The average mechanical spacer of the implants is much larger than the dentures. It makes it difficult for the patient to stabilize the pronunciation of the letters and sounds. In patients with rodent muscles, such as the boxinator and myloicheidoid, the posterior dentures rotate upward and the patient spends a click when he or she spoke. In fact, this problem occurs due to the lower vertical height.
Also, the language extends to the posterior parts to keep the denture in place, and this itself limits the denture movement and gives more activity to chew, which causes the patient to fatigue, and the denture's stability decreases.

But these problems do not exist in the implant-based prosthesis, and the prosthesis relies on the implant's toothpath and has a high stroke.
In prosthetic dentures, the edges of the prosthesis are short, but in the dentures the edges are tall. The use of denture influences the taste of food, but in an implant-based prosthesis, the patient easily tastes food.

The upper end of the denture in the upper jaw may cause nausea in the person, but this part is removed from the implant-dependent overdenture. Finally, patients who were treated with implant-dependent prosthesis indicated their general, mental and psychosocial status up to 80% compared with denture use.
They felt the implant-based prosthesis as part of their body.
